Education
Opening the door to learning
We create education opportunities for children and adults who have none, because of poverty, vulnerability or other human circumstances.
Home › What We Do
From a classroom in Nigeria to a soup kitchen in the UK, your support reaches people who need it most.
Our people
The trustees and leaders who guide everything Caring Aid does.
Chairman
“Our greatness is not what we have — it is what we give.”
Secretary
“Every act of kindness plants a seed of hope in someone’s life.”
Trustee
“Serving others is the highest calling any of us can answer.”
Trustee & Administrator
“Caring for the least among us is the truest measure of who we are.”
Our work
We run a range of programmes that meet immediate needs and build long-term independence.
Equipping young people with digital skills for the modern world.
Nutritious meals for children and families who would otherwise go hungry.
Clothing and essentials for vulnerable people and families.
Scholarships and school support for children with no other opportunity.
Care and advocacy for those most at risk in our communities.
Warm meals and dignity for homeless people here in the UK.
Where we work
Our roots are in Nigeria, where the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary have served since 1937, and our work now extends to the United Kingdom and communities around the world.
Wherever we are, the mission is the same: to serve the poor and the less privileged, and to nurture the full potential of every person.
Our impact
Education
We create education opportunities for children and adults who have none, because of poverty, vulnerability or other human circumstances.
Health
Lack of healthcare has cost people their lives and instilled fear and instability. Our support in the provision of healthcare services revitalises and invigorates people to new life and vision.
Empowerment
Through targeted training, business mentorship and starter toolkits, we help beneficiaries transition from dependency to self-reliance. Our aim is to empower people to take care of themselves and their families — to be self-sufficient and in control of their lives.
Feeding programme
We believe feeding someone is blessing them. Many children eat only once a day; we are committed to making sure people have access to nutritious food and live healthy lives.
Soup Kitchen for the Homeless
Our soup kitchen provides warm, nutritious meals to homeless people in the UK, because everyone deserves to be fed with care and dignity.
How we use your donation
Every gift is used responsibly and transparently across four pillars:
Running our programmes effectively so every pound reaches the people who need it.
Investing in growth — reaching more of the poor and the less privileged each year.
Full transparency in how funds are received, managed and reported. Annual accounts are available on request.
Donations, fundraising, corporate giving, legacies and in-kind support all contribute to our work.
Putting food on the table and care in the clinic for families who have neither.
Training, scholarships and toolkits that build lasting independence.
